Tool, Tips and Techniques to ace studying for exams. This short course offers children some very necessary skills to improve the way in which they approach studying for tests and exams.

After a discussion of some basic learning tips and suggestions, ErlyBirds begin this workshop by taking the learners through an auditory learning experience, using digital devices and grade-specific content relevant to the curriculum. This simple process allows pupils to learn at their own pace. The auditory recording is also used in conjunction with visual, thinking maps to consolidate the knowledge. (Thinking maps and mind maps are great for re-coding information in a graphical format that includes pictures, symbols and words that have meaning to the author). Recordings are named, filed and saved for repeated use.

Mnemonics are useful when lists of factual information need to be memorised. After discussing key facts, the learners have an opportunity to create a mnemonic.
